Renewable EnergyMany people seem to have their own definition of renewable energy, but it is perhaps best defined by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)."Renewable energy is defined as energy from resources that cannot be depleted or are otherwise naturally replenished when the energy is used at a sustainable level." Nuclear energy is not considered a form of renewable energy nor is it clean energy. Nuclear power does not emit carbon into the enornoment through combustion; however, nuclear does emit isopotes of kripton and tritium that are not typically captured during the fission process. Many proponents of nuclear power do not address the emmission of large amounts of water vapor into the atmosphere, which has a large greenhouse effect on the environment.
